Expansion Disc
The Expansion Disc is the first expansion of The Settlers: Heritage of Kings, featuring nine new single-player missions, seven new maps for single-player mode, twenty-six new maps for multiplayer mode, a map editor, two new combat units, two new single-player heroes, one new multiplayer hero, two new economic units, additional buildings and technologies, bridge building, and improved graphics.

Story
After the defeat of Kerberos, the old empire flourishes under the rule of King Dario and finally the dream of peace and prosperity seems to come true. But far in the east of the old empire, on the shore of the river Nhern, a bridge is being build. A bridge to the legendary old lands of Hen Brughs. But as the impressive structure grows and grows, the fear of the workers also increases. They see strange, shadowy creatures roaming on the other side of the river. Watching every move the builders make and waiting for them to come. Always surrounded by a fog that seems unreal and very cold. At last King Darios decides to take matters in his own hands. With his comrades he enters the fog and soon realizes that he has stepped right into a war. A war whose end may mean the destruction of a whole civilization.

New content
Besides the new campaign, the add-on also includes several new single- and multiplayer maps as well as three new heroes like Kala, the witch of the Fogpeople. She can create a poisonous fog which damages every unit around her. There are also four new technologies waiting to be researched at the academy. One of them, mathematics, is needed to create the new structures the game introduces: bridges. The last addition is a powerful map editor that allows the players to create own maps and even complex missions with the script-language LUA.



Legends Expansion Disc
The Legends Expansion Disc the second expansion of The Settlers: Heritage of Kings, featuring three new single-player campaigns of four missions each and one of five missions, six new maps for single-player mode, eighteen new maps for multiplayer mode, an enhanced map editor, a random map generator, and the ability to use the three multiplayer-only heroes from the original game in single-player missions.

New content
Several of the new maps feature the new coastal-terrain and higher interaction between the animals on the map with the player-controlled units. This means for example that settlers can be attacked by a pack of wolves if they cross trails. The map editor also get expanded and now allows to generate the terrain for a map randomly.

Burning Shores campaign (4 Missions)
The northern shore of the kingdom hasn't seen any war for years and the inhabitants don't even know the meaning of the words "rebellion", "violence" or "war". But the cities grow very fast and need more and more resources. So Dario decides to reclaim more land and stumbles upon some barbarians and their hungry wolves which eat all the sheep. The heroes Drake, Yuki, Helias and Pilgrim are send out to protect them and fend off the attacks of the barbarians.

Battle on the Emerald-plain campaign (5 Missions)
The Emerald-plain is the jewel of the new empire under the rule of king Dario. Only a few small villages surround the "Bastion of the Kings". But riches attract envy and so Scorillo, a powerful and unscrupulous knight, trys to conquer the plain. And the heroes Pilgrim, Ari, Drake and Erec have to keep him from succeeding.

The Evil Inside Me campaign (4 Missions)
Kerberos is back and lusts again for the crown of the kingdom. But King Dario is too powerful to risk a direct assault. So with the help of his heroes Mary de Mortfichet and Varg he tries to find another way to reclaim the throne.

A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing campaign (4 Missions)
The kingdom flourishes and grows. The people are happy and live in peace and prosperity. But suddenly nature itself seems to hold a grudge against the settlers. It stops to rain and soon big fires and hunger rages in the cities. To make things even worse barbarians, in search for food, assault the cities. Now Dario himself, with the help of his hero Drake, have to save the land from destruction and solve the riddle about the sudden drought.
