He ends up in an underground complex where he discovers disturbing facts about the past and events hidden from the rest of the world.GameplayPlayed from a first person viewpoint, Penumbra is very different from other adventure games. It has an advanced physics system which allow for a never before seen environment interaction. Fighting enemies is not something best done with brute force though, in most situations fighting is a last resort and the player is often better of using his/her wits. The AI of the enemies will also do its best to hunt and scare the player. As Philip moves forward, he encounters different characters from his past. Penumbra: Requiem delves deeper into the world of the Tuurngait infection and the personalities of the characters from the previous two games, Overture and Black Plague. Long lost friends return to help Philip on his mission, but can they really be trusted? In the bizarre world of Penumbra: Requiem, players will experience a new level of psychological thrill unlike anything seen before Penumbra: Black Plague. This time, it's even harder to tell what is real and what is not. To survive, it's essential not to always trust your senses.
