Rogue Legacy is a real-time 2D action platformer game with minor role-playing game elements.

Gameplay
In Rogue Legacy, anyone can be a hero. Every time you die, your child becomes your successor. Every child is unique. One child may be color blind or have Tourette's syndrome. They might even be a dwarf. That's okay, because nobody is perfect and you don't have to be either to win in this game. But you have to be very good, because this game is hard. Fortunately, every time you die, you can use all the gold you collect to upgrade your castle, so your next child can move up a step in life and get another chance to defeat evil.
